Pat
Ferguson- Quilter/Teacher Pat has been quilting since 1980 and teaching since 1985. She teaches a wide variety of classes ranging from beginner hand quilting and rotary cutting skills to advanced classes like Mariner’s Compass and Double Wedding Ring and almost anything in between. Her specialty is free motion machine quilting (on a regular sewing machine) which is then incorporate into landscapes and house portraits. After teaching thousands of new and seasoned quilters over the past 20 years, Pat has tried not to lose sight of what it is like to be a bewildered and excited beginner. She still feels refreshed and rejuvenated every time she's introduces a new student to quilting and sees their enthusiasm and creativity explode. Working with seasoned quilters is just as rewarding, watch their skills develop, feeling their pride in their own creative process, and watching their personal style develop. Pat continues to take classes to learn from the best and to enhance her teaching skills. There is always something new to learn, whether it is a new tool, a new style or a new technique. "My goal as a teacher is to provide an abundance of accurate and creative information, while being sensitive to the skill levels of each student and to provide a relaxing and fun atmosphere in which to allow each student's skills to sharpen and creativity to blossom." ~ Pat Ferguson
